When I first found Rubio, I thought it was too good to be true. A finish that's easy to apply & only requires one coat just couldn’t be a reality. But after using it, I knew I had found my forever finish. Not only did it give me the perfect low sheen finish I was looking for, but their wide variety of color options and the ability to mix & match colors to create a custom look makes Rubio Monocoat a game changer in the industry. I've been using it for over a decade now and will never go back. Spending less time applying finish means I have more time to spend with my family, build my business, and create more furniture.

I use Rubio Monocoat because it does a great job of enhancing the natural grain and beauty of the wood, while providing exceptional durability and an eco-friendly finish. It's the perfect match for my ethos of crafting furniture that's beautiful, sustainable, and designed for life.

Rubio Monocoat has truly been a game changer for me. The products are easy to apply, completely odourless, and, most importantly, free of harmful substances. That’s a huge plus not just for me, but also for the well-being of our clients.

We choose DuroGrit as finish for our projects because the 1-layer application saves us a lot of time. Especially if it's a large project where we can do spray application. Another big advantage with DuroGrit is the range of colours. From a natural look to brown shades. Since we have a personal contact at Rubio Monocoat, it's convenient to ask for help and if necessary, they even come by to assist.

Does Rubio Monocoat sponsor events or projects?
As an international company, we take our social responsibilities seriously. That’s why, for several years already, we’ve proudly supported Aynimundo, a remarkable organization in Peru that helps children with disabilities reach their full potential. It’s been an honour to witness their growth and inspiring future plans so far. Beyond our global commitment to Aynimundo, we also sponsor select local events—primarily those that invest in the next generation of woodworkers. In case your event fits these criteria, reach out to socials@rubiomonocoat.com and we will consider your request carefully.
Sustainability is at the heart of everything we do, and we’re actively working toward a CO₂ neutral future, making every step of our process—from production to transportation—as eco-friendly as possible. In addition, we’ve embraced Green Friday across our local webshops as a sustainable alternative to Black Friday, choosing to plant trees.
For us, giving back means supporting both society projects and the planet on a global and local scale.
